Class runs from 7-9PM on Monday, 12/1, Wednesday 12/3,  Monday 12/8, Tuesday 12/9, & Wednesday 12/10 This course runs twice a week for two weeks, with the last class split into two groups for hands-on machine demos/training. 

This course is the first in Carbide Labs' series of complete Computer Numerical Control (CNC) instruction on the Haas Vertical Machining Center (VMC) machine. This introductory module is intended for beginners and will cover in-depth topics in CNC machining and design for manufacturing.

Material covered includes fundamentals of CNC programming with G-code, tools and operations, and strategies for designing and machining “2.5D” milled parts. By the end of the course, you will be be able to complete a simple CNC milling project, and see your work machined on NextFab’s Haas VMC, controlled by the instructor.
The subsequent two modules will be available at a later date. Completing all 3 courses in this series will authorize members for unsupervised use of the HAAS.
